Accessibility Statement

Scope of this statement

This statement applies to the website at www.taiatar.com.

It does not cover other websites reachable from it. Articles are published on third-party sites, and the social media profiles belong to their own platforms; the accessibility of those services is set by the companies that run them.

Measures taken on this site

The pages are built on semantic HTML with a proper heading hierarchy, so they can be navigated with a screen reader.

Every image carries a text alternative, and every icon and link has an accessible name — including the social media icons in the footer.

Every field in the contact form has a label bound to it, and the success and error messages are announced to screen readers as they appear.

The menu opens and closes from the keyboard, and the Escape key closes it. These documents open in a dialog that behaves the same way.

Anyone who has asked their operating system to reduce motion does not see the site's automatic movement.

The site is written in Hebrew with right-to-left layout throughout, including its forms.

Level of accessibility

This site was built following the guidance of Israeli Standard SI 5568 and WCAG 2.0 Level AA, and accessibility is treated here as continuing work rather than a task finished once.

A full audit by a certified accessibility professional has not yet been carried out, so this statement does not assert complete conformance with that standard. It describes the position as it actually stands.

Any barrier reported to me is treated as a priority, and this page is updated as the work progresses.

Known limitations, and what is being done

The list of published pieces on the home page is a rail that scrolls sideways. Every link inside it can be reached from the keyboard, though dragging with a mouse or a finger is the easier route; improving this is on my list.

Not every colour combination on the site has yet been measured with a contrast tool. Any combination reported as hard to read will be corrected.

Where a limitation is found that cannot be fixed quickly, I will say so here and offer another way to get the same information — by email or by phone.

Accessibility of the workshops themselves

Workshops take place at physical venues. If you have an access requirement — wheelchair access, adapted seating, or any other adjustment — write to me before registering and I will look into what can be arranged.

Reporting a barrier

If something on this site does not work for you, I want to know. A short description of what happened, which page you were on, and what you were using to browse will help me fix it quickly.

I answer reports as soon as I am able, and I will tell you what can be done about the issue and by when.
